Cortés is a leather goods brand founded on friendship by artist and fashion designer Salomé Coronel and creative director and curator Danielle Juliao, who met more than a decade ago while studying at Parsons School of Design in New York.

Rooted in an appreciation for quality, craft, and materiality, Cortés creates enduring pieces that exist between everyday essentials, thoughtful accessories, and small treasures. Color serves as a guiding principle, shaping the brand’s distinct and expressive palette.

Each piece is handcrafted in Bogotá, Colombia, in collaboration with an expert leather workshop in the El Restrepo district, the historic heart of the city’s leather craft. Through this partnership, Cortés celebrates the skill, precision, and human touch that define traditional leatherwork while drawing inspiration from the founders’ Colombian and Ecuadorian backgrounds.
